About the Role-
The organisation is hiring for a Senior Manager for one of it's education program. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing and implementing programs for adoption of learning product in government schools and low-income settings and hands on experience in assessment of these programmes.
Key Expectations and Responsibilities:
Ideal candidates for this position will have proven senior management experience in a highly dynamic setting, are ambitious and performance-oriented with exceptional people skills.
- Lead the strategy, design, implementation and review of projects and put in systems to effectively monitor, and track the initiatives planned under the roadmap
- Prepare strategic roadmaps and implementation plans with goals and milestones
- Set up project management processes and guidelines and ensure that all activities are driving towards the defined goals
- Work closely and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (NGOs, implementation or research partners, Senior bureaucrats and Govt. stakeholders, etc.) co-create and implement solutions, and build their capacity
- Strong focus on data analysis, synthesis, reporting and communication of findings to relevant stakeholders on a regular basis
- Development of annual / quarterly goals, detailed budget planning, leading operations, implementation and ensuring timely reporting
- Lead the team, attract, hire and retain talent, and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive work environment
- Mentor and motivate team members, and build in capacity building mechanisms for their growth and development
Must haves:
- Strong project management experience and leading large teams (prior experience working with Govt. or non-profits in Education sector is a plus)
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to analyze data, craft possible solutions, and recommend actions
- Ability to advocate and maintain strong relations with senior external stakeholders and clients
- Fluent verbal and written communications in English (report writing, presentations)
- Good leadership skills, including ability to manage multiple projects at a time
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ‘can-do’ attitude
- Willingness to travel and maintain a grounded approach by engaging with teams responsible for delivery at the last mile
