UNGC Forward Faster 2030 is a strategic initiative by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) aimed at expediting advancements in sustainable development. Against the backdrop of pressing global issues such as climate change, social inequality, and ongoing health challenges, this initiative gains significance.
There are five key areas which Indian businesses can focus on to accelerate action and progress towards Agenda 2030. The theme “Forward Faster 2030” revolves around those most crucial thematic areas which are seen to have a long lasting impact on the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals.

UN GCNI plans to expand its presence in India and strengthen the portfolio of its operations. UN GCNI seeks to appoint Programme Managers to lead the implementation of the 10 principles and SDGs in India. The job profile involves multiple roles design and implementation of innovative programming, event management, membership support, interface with members, technical agencies, government departments and other stakeholders
Job Profile:
- Lead the development of projects and ensure successful implementation of current project portfolios across various domains – Water, Climate change, Regenerative Agriculture, Ocean Stewardship, Energy Transition.
- Ensure alignment and promotion of UNGC initiatives with the activities and work plan of UNGCNI.
- Establish and lead coordination between UNGC teams across networks and GCNI members consistently, to advance UNGCNI's goals and objectives effectively.
- Undertake and oversee dissemination of the researched output documents such as newsletters, policy briefs, white papers, and periodic reports. These materials should aid UNGCNI in broadening its membership base and hastening progress towards achieving the goals of Forward Faster 2030.
- Ensure success and timely implementation of work strategies to support UNGCNI's diverse initiatives, including capacity-building training, research studies, surveys, and reports, ensuring timely delivery of project objectives.
- Design and implement strategic initiatives for enhancing UN GCNI’s outreach within the Indian business through fundraisings, sponsorships, action research, outreach activities etc.
- Support Senior leadership in organising Flagship Events and Global Impact Initiatives
- Any other duties assigned from time to time.
