Investment Analyst - Social Impact

Support the organization to maintain and grow a healthy investment portfolio while

supporting initiatives that accelerate the financial and social impact of invested social

businesses.

Core tasks and responsibilities:

• Support Investment Manager (IM) in building and maintaining a strong sourcing pipeline that includes:

1. Build and maintain a strong network with entrepreneurs
2. Analyze the fund, sector, and company exposure to date as an input to sourcing
3. Screen and rank the pipeline to prioritize investment opportunities
4. Share pipeline investment opportunities in monthly calls with Global Investment & Portfolio Manager
5. Build and maintain strong partnerships with accelerators, impact investors, etc.

• Support IM in developing deals and converting them into investments

1. Conduct financial analysis and build a financial model
2. Prepare Investment Committee memo
3. Engage third-party service providers relating to due diligence and deal execution

• Support IM with effective portfolio management

1. Prepare Monthly Portfolio Review (Monthly PR)
2. Maintain Salesforce database and update repayment status and financial and impact performance
3. Participate in projects to improve investment and portfolio management process

Professional expertise / hard skills:

● Background in economics, finance, accounting, business administration,

international development, or related fields

● 1 - 3 years of Investment Experience, plus if the candidate also has experience in

portfolio management and deal sourcing

● Solid understanding of accounting, forecasting and building financial models

● Demonstrated project and stakeholder management experience
