- Lead the strategic development of the organisation’s digital strategy in tandem with the overall communications strategy to align with the vision of climate action for India.
- Work closely with the global digital team of the GSCC to develop long term infrastructure for india digital plans.
- Develop and execute the digital strategy for all of Climate Trends digital platforms that is aligned with the organisations overall strategic objectives
- Craft our external narrative around policy challenges in line with organisation’s themes and upon an understanding of external policy scenarios, and evolving political affairs
- Inform the digital projects through the public policy lens as well as regulations or rules for digital platforms in India
- Develop partnerships with stakeholders like industry players, and key opinion formers to shape policy and political dialogue across online channels
- Monitor and research current and relevant emerging public issues and synthesize those research learnings about online narratives into an insightful framing of gaps and opportunities
- Undertake audience mapping for each platform and identify and implement innovative ways of outreach and engagement with the target audience.
- Grow digital campaigns that are linked to public engagement opportunities, building our reach and engagement with key influencers, journalists, other mainstream digital media outlets that can help amplify our messages and content
- Monitor and evaluate data and digital trends on channels to provide clear insight and recommendations for further digital opportunities
- Track news cycles across the organisations thematic areas and identify opportunities to amplify narratives
- Liaison with external vendors where necessary to ensure timely delivery of outputs
Experiences And Competencies
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in digital strategy development and execution, preferably with an understanding on the subjects of climate change, sustainable development, India’s political landscape and affairs.
- In-depth working knowledge of digital ad platforms like Google, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other independent media platforms
- Knowledge of website CMS, digital M&E tools, Google Analytics, Social Media Management
- Experience with writing comprehensive digital reports, capturing successes and lessons
- Agile and able to respond to rapidly changing environments
