Description

As the Programme Director for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, you will spearhead critical initiatives in the Product Development Domain.


Experience of working in the fields of Climate Change, GHG Inventorization, Carbon Credits, and National/International policies is necessary with experience in working with State/National Governments.


Desirable Qualities:


  • Should have the ability to analyse situations based on interactions and formulate strategies.
  • Must have required project management, proposal development, and project monitoring skills, including interacting with funding agencies and fructifying project proposals.
  • Must have a strong research and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Experience of dealing with Govt. and National/International clients.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and organized.
  • Practical knowledge of computer software.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.


Additional Competence:


  • Must be proficient in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with decision-makers at the State and National levels.
  • Working effectively with key stakeholders, assertively influencing them and where appropriate showing tenacity and persistence in business development situations.
  • Knowledge of various GHG emissions accounting frameworks/tools e.g., IPCC guidelines, GHG Platform India, and other accounting tools.
  • Well-versed with the various scopes of emissions, such as Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3.


Functional details:

Functional Details:


1. Sectoral Expert Consultations

Enable regular consultations/meetings with sectoral experts (including Government officials/experts, relevant line departments in States, sectoral experts, and partner organizations) to identify sector-specific areas, opportunities, and barriers for enabling a transition towards a low carbon growth trajectory.


2. Low-Carbon Pathway Development

Conduct a variety of quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the development of low-carbon pathways to reach net-zero targets of states.


3. GHG Emissions Quantification

Develop and/or review quantification approaches that account for GHG emissions reductions or removals in the construction and industrial sector. Perform greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions evaluation for emissions inventory development, emissions reduction strategies, and net-zero targets. Should have expertise in data analysis.


4. Reporting and Presentation

Prepare clear and compelling reports, presentations of analyses, and recommendations as per project deliverables for the industrial and construction sector.


5. Client Relationship Management

Contribute to the management of relationships with clients throughout the delivery process.


6. Policy Development

Prepare favourable central and state government policies for low-carbon initiatives, especially mitigation technologies.


7. Network Building

Build a network of professional business contacts - clients, consultant companies, and individual experts to identify potential partnerships and increase the group's visibility.


8. Project Management

Project management, including project planning, monitoring, reporting, writing, research, and documentation; responsible for the overall quality of project delivery.
