Specifically, we are looking for someone to manage all of our entrepreneur-related work. This includes, but is not limited to sourcing for enterprises, evaluating enterprises for potential investment opportunities, curating experiences for entrepreneurs to interact with investors at the platform and throughout the year. This requires extremely strong written communication skills, interacting with both entrepreneurs and senior investment professionals, structured thinking with strong logistical skills, and strong verbal communication skills in English.

Experience/Education Level: 

  • A degree from a reputable university in international development, international relations, law, statistics, engineering or any business related course will be an added advantage
  • 3+ years of experience working in a strategic planning, business development, fundraising or similar field in a corporate, consulting / investment environment or with an international development agency or social enterprise.
  • Ability to use MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) and Dropbox
  • Exposure working with enterprises or business advisory, financial models, investments

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the platform's Awards process, including selection, points of engagement at the Summit, and following-up post the summits.
  • Be the main point of contact for all the platform's Award applicants, semi-finalists, finalists, and winners
  • Assist the forum's finalists in their pitch preparation, providing feedback on their business model, financial projections, growth plans, etc.
  • Manage communications, logistics, and invitations for both the Awards Screening Committee and Grand Jury, which are made up of impact investors and seasoned, C-level industry professionals
  • Design, manage, and execute the platform’s Deal Rooms, which are one-on-one interactions between investors and entrepreneurs
  • Design, manage, and execute the forum’s Entrepreneur Scholarships
  • Facilitate the forum’s Enterprise Slumber Parties, where you will both prepare enterprises, encourage investor attendance, and moderate the session(s)
  • Innovate and design new opportunities for interactions between entrepreneurs, investors, and the broader community
  • Help draft, design, and prepare the platform related proposals  
  • Support in maintenance and building out of the database of the platform's attendees/applicants/investors over the years
  • Build and maintain investor relations
  • Follow-up and monitor progress after the event
  • Build out an alumni engagement plan to follow on with the forum's Award finalists
